The firm was originally founded in 1936 by Milton A. Epstein. Twelve years later, Milton was joined by his brother, Barnet. In 1955, the Epsteins added H. Harding Brown as a partner. Both Barnet H. Epstein and H. Harding Brown continue with the firm to this day. The firm of Epstein, Epstein & Brown focused their practice in the areas of industrial, commercial and residential real estate representing developers, financial institutions, buyers and sellers and in land use matters. Mr. Epstein and Mr. Brown were highly involved in the county bar associations, each formerly President, as well as in other community and civic activities.

Today, Epstein, Brown & Gioia, LLC is a mid-sized firm located in Chatham Township, New Jersey. We represent a broad range of clients, from individuals and privately held companies to large publicly traded companies. In addition to the expertise in the original practice areas, our firm has added the practice areas of administration and tax and estate planning, and the planning and structuring of commercial real estate acquisitions, financing, sales and leasing.

The firm has been selected for inclusion in the Martindale-Hubbell "Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys" annually since 2001.

The goal of Epstein, Brown & Gioia, LLC is to provide high quality, cost effective services to our clients. This policy has served our firm well and allowed us to retain many of the original clients and their descendents. As the late Mr. Fitzsimmons, a former partner, often repeated, "Our firm is here to help clients solve their problems." The firm has worked hard to achieve that goal over the past 70 years and looks forward to continuing to provide high quality, cost effective services in the years to come.
